On January 20, the UST Faculty of Civil Law held its much-anticipated faculty assembly, a significant gathering that celebrated milestones and discussed future initiatives.
The assembly highlighted key achievements, including the recognition of two outstanding bar topnotchers, Andrew Gil B. Ambray, J.D., and Pierre Angelo C. Reque II, J.D., as well as an improvement in the faculty’s bar passing rate—a testament to the dedication and hard work of both students and faculty members.
Exciting plans for the establishment of a Legal Aid Clinic were also unveiled, underscoring the faculty’s commitment to community service and practical legal education. This initiative will be spearheaded by Atty. Floro C. Balato Jr. In addition, the assembly addressed potential enhancements to the Dean’s List incentives, aimed at further motivating academic excellence among students. The faculty also welcomed Atty. Kristin Punzalan as the newest member of its roster.
Lastly, the scholars of the Graduate School of Law were proudly announced, reflecting the faculty’s dedication to supporting advanced legal studies and professional growth. This year’s recipients are Atty. Ismael L. Sarangaya Jr. and Atty. Isaiah O. Asuncion III.
